Moraine Lake, Banff National Park, Canada

I used to live about an hour from there, and have been there several times. Its even more beautiful in person :) And a little piece of trivia about both Morraine Lake and Lake Louise (which you have to drive past to get to Morraine)...they are both that color due to something called Rock Flour. Its basically the limestone in the mountains being ground up and deposited into the lakes by creeks and streams :) just a little FYI for everyone's Friday morning :)

I was there :) I could have stayed for days --- except it was REALLY cold and 37 degrees in July!

This is about 3-1/2 hours north of my place. And Canada (at least there & at my place) doesn't tend to be any colder than Idaho, Montana, Wyoming and/or Colorado! In fact many times my family in Denver is colder than I am. And Colorado already got snow while I'm dry! So... go figure!

I live about 2 hours away from this, my family and I picnic out there all the time
